afropunk premiere: seinabo sey’s ‘poetic’ gets an icy chill on the norde remix #soundcheck

Seinabo Sey is quickly becoming a bright spot in the underground, her music riding the fine line between pop polish and raw emotion. “Sorry,” her latest single off the wall-to-wall dopeness of Pretend just got a reworking courtesy of Norde. It’s an iced down breath of cold air, with warped vocals loping and looping over themselves into an ethereal blast of melody. The track joins other remixes from her Sorry Remix EP, which includes mixes by Junge Junge, MagnusTheMagnus, and La Boeuf. Seinabo Sey will appear at the 2016 AFROPUNK Festival in Brooklyn.
