feature: check out the work of self-taught, nairobi-born, d.c.-based wolf photography

April 11, 2016

Faith Muthiani (aka Wolf Photography) is a self-taught photographer from Nairobi, now based in D.C. Growing up as a child in the small rural town of Makueni and her cultural and heritage ties to Kenya influence her to seek intention-filled moments that showcase the diversity and richness of the black community. “With every portrait I take I aim to capture my subjects in their authentic self; their true essence and personality,” Muthiani writes, “I have a natural curiosity about people and the world around me, and the camera is a tool that helps me get a better understanding of it all.”
