Check out Brasília, Brazil-based photographer Dinho Mevie’s nature-themed photo series ‘Liberte Seu Afro’ or ‘Unleash Your Afro’. In the series, we see several natural haired women in fairytale-like settings, in harmony with nature and (toy) animals, which lends itself to the whimsical feel of the project. But the playful imagery lends itself to the bigger message of self-acceptance and being proud of who you are. “Embrace your roots, show them to the world,” Mevie writes on Instagram.
