feature: prince announces new memoir in the works planned for released in fall 2017
This past weekend, at something of a pop-up event, Prince announced to friends, journalists, and editors, who had been invited to the event earlier that day, that, “The good people of Random House have made me an offer I can’t refuse!”: an offer to pen a memoir under the working title The Beautiful Ones. Prince told the crowd that the book would cover everything from his first memories to his Super Bowl XLI half-time performance.
Random House imprint Spiegel & Grau is scheduled to publish the book in fall 2017, where Prince will collaborate with Paris Review’s Dan Piepenbring and editor Chris Jackson, who edited Ta-Nehisi Coates’ Between the World and Me
