afropunk premiere: experimental r&b artist sarah white drops intoxicating third ep “laughing at ghosts” & “siren” video
Today, we’re streaming brand new music from Minneapolis-based singer/songwriter Sarah White. Her five-song EP “Laughing at Ghosts” is a new wave-soul “journey of the heart” oozing with experimental textures and atmosphere. The EP (White’s third) is a smooth, eclectic blend of electro R&B, jazz improvisation, and introspective lyricism; her voice a soulful beacon shining through the heady, abstract melodies. Inspired by the fluidity of the human experience, the EP ebbs and flows lyrically and instrumentally, conjuring everything from the darkness of heartbreak, denial, rejection to tender hopefulness and self-love. Stream all five tracks of “Laughing At Ghost” down below. BONUS: Watch the Sarah’s brand new video “Siren.”
