feature: painter kiarra elliott creates eco-conscious portraits on recycled wood panels

January 20, 2016

Check out resource-conscious painter Kiarra Elliott. Kiarra, a portrait artist, use oil paints and recycled wood panels to create vibrate, graffiti-like paintings. Inspired by nature and a sense of harmony, many of her pieces depict humanity co-existing with with plants and animals. The wood panels, of course, work two fold by creating interesting texture and alluding to the theme of unity with and respect for the natural world around us. Elliott writes that she’s, “Inspired by nature and the wonderful creation you can find in all forms in life I fuse the human, animal and organic plant form.”
