afropunk premiere: baltimore’s avant garde-r&b singer :3ion drops new track “many moons”

January 29, 2016

Baltimore’s avant garde-R&B singer, :3ION, returns with a new project, his debut album, “Ronin” (out Feb. 12). Ahead of its release, :3ION brings us a little teaser in the form of his very first single, “Many Moons.”  Smokey synths are permeated by skittering samples and energetic drums, adding a certain madness to the track. “Many moons, I’ve been waiting for you”, :3ION sings amongst the chaos as the song grows thick with synthesized fog, barely straddling the line between futuristic slow jam and dance track.
