new music: british songstress kenzie may gets honest about love on latest track – ‘honey’

Check out the soulful new track from London based songstress Kenzie May, entitled ‘Honey’. The Boston-born musician (who moved to the UK at the age of 6) told iD, “Honey is a song about a relationship that has reached its climax and the realisation that it’s in decline. It’s one of the more honest songs I’ve written in recent times. It tells a story that’s become familiar; falling in and out of love, trying to save something that may not be worth it anymore, only to make it worse. This is the stripped down version, recorded live at a friend’s warehouse in LA. We did it in one take and there’s a pretty gnarly video we filmed of the performance that’s coming in the new year.” Listen below.
