new music: alt soulstress elle pierre explores “lover’s limbo” with latest track, ‘transition’

November 30, 2015

Lose yourself in the latest release from alt R&B singer-songwriter Elle Pierre, ‘Transition’ (produced by Elete Wright, 1/3 of hip hop trio St. Joe Louis). The Brooklyn based musician tells us: “‘Transition’ was written while I was in a situation I’d like to call “lover’s limbo.” This is where you’ve crossed the boundaries of friendship with your partner and are now in the lover’s zone… but your partner, for whatever reason is afraid of or avoiding the commitment of being in a relationship. Also known as he/she wants his/her cake and eat it. I wrote this song for my then lover, a fellow musician of course, to express my desire to move from this state of limbo into a place of romantic love. It didn’t work out however this song remains very close to me and I’m sure there are women who can relate.” Listen below.
