feature: indie hardcore alt rockers djevara shout #blacklivesmatter with latest track – ‘black boy’
Listen to ‘Black Boy’, the latest track from indie hardcore alt rock group Djevara (a South London based group who started in the Midlands when frontman and spoken-word artist Anté decided to start a punk band in the area’s D.I.Y scene). The band – made up of Geoff Courts on guitar, Anté (aka ‘Bass’) on words and guitar, and Malc on drums/programming – touch on #BlackLivesMatter with their latest offering, and the track is electrifying. This is a trio who don’t shy from politics. As their camp states, “Djevara have been politically active and outspoken from Day 1, supporting anti-fascist/racist movements, anti-child soldier and human rights campaigns as an integral part of what the band is about.” Steam ‘Black Boy’ below.
