Check out the new paintings from Virginia based artist Justice Dwight, a new art series centered on headwraps. Justice tells us: “This collection focuses on women with head wraps. It has been said that your hair carries a lot of energy and that head wraps can protect you from negative energy. I decided to showcase women protecting their energy in a fashionable way, hence the use of fabric which created a three-dimensional element for each piece. A majority of the muses are people I know personally who wore the fabric that I used for the paintings. I used the same fabrics they wore in order to transfer positive energy into my artwork.” Explore below.
