art: south african visual artist loyiso mkize’s new work + current solo exhibit, ‘reflections’

Check out these new paintings from South African visual artist Loyiso Mkize – an artist who is recognised for documenting the changing cultures and environments of modern africa, and the emotional landscape of its people. He is currently exhibiting his work in Johannesburg until October 1st at the Eyethu Gallery – a solo exhibition, entitled ‘Reflections’. In regards to his work, the gallery state: “Mkize focuses on the emotion, emphasizing brush strokes on skin texture and the eyes.
