August 18, 2015

Meet drummer Compton Timberwolf. The talented musician, producer, and vocalist – who performed with HO9909 at last year’s AFROPUNK Fest – hails from the Bronx, New York, and plays in Subway stations with a drum set that he carries on with a hand cart. He tells us: “I go station to station playing for money. Then at night I produce music that I hear from the city or how respond or cope with things that I see in the city.” Describing himself as a “millennial black jazz punk rocker”, Timberwolf’s musical influences are rooted in the genres of Jazz, Punk, and Hip Hop – and his skills are a must-see.
