always in season trailer

July 1, 2015

Check out documentary ‘Always in Season’, a film (almost completed) that explores “the impact of the racial terrorism of more than a century of lynching African Americans.”

Its director Jacqueline Olive was driven by the alarming rate of vigilante and police killings of black and brown people today, which mirrors the rate of lynching at its height; and the feature film “introduces viewers to relatives of the perpetrators and victims of lynchings in four communities grappling with how best to acknowledge the victims, repair the damage, and reconcile–all in the midst of pushback and heated national discourse about the value of black lives.
