afropunk premiere: singer-songwriter elle winston’s new video – ‘downtown’

Today we’re premiering the new video from Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Elle Winston. The video is for her single ‘Downtown’, shot and edited by videography duo Ashton Alexander. The video was shot entirely in New York with the goal of capturing “a true-city love story’ and features Winston’s real life girlfriend Melissa Robles. Winston describes the song  as capturing “the capacity of longer-term love and what it means to keep that love fresh and keep learning about your partner through the years.” Check it out below.
