feature: ‘rad american women’ feminist children’s book

Check out new children’s book ‘Rad American Women’. Inclusive of all colors, gender expressions and sexualities, the book celebrates the “Rebels, Trailblazers, and Visionaries Who Shaped Our History and our future”. Author Kate Schatz created the book after failing to find the right books for her daughter. However the feminist book, illustrated by Miriam Klein Stahl, is not solely for girls. Schatz says: “I definitely want young girls to be inspired and empowered, but this book is absolutely for boys and men as well, including my own son. These women’s stories are America’s stories – they just don’t always get included in the textbooks.” Check out some extracts below and find more info here.
