American Little League Baseball pitcher Mo’Ne Davis, one of two girls who played in the 2014 Little League World Series and the first girl to earn a win and to pitch a shutout in Little League World Series history, is in the headlines once again since being named Associated Press’ Female Athlete of the Year a few months ago. This time it’s for her philanthropy. The teenager has designed a new shoe with proceeds helping underprivileged girls around the world. Read more on the story here.
