new music: check out the visuals to alt metal payback club’s debut single ‘unfinished enemy’ #soundcheck

DC band Payback Club may still be working on their debut, but the five piece’s debut single gives hard rock and metal fans a lot to be excited for. ‘Unfinished Enemy’ draws on pieces of the history of metal for a new sound. There’s singer SE7EN’s NWOBHM operatic vocal delivery and occasional nu-metal growl, alternative metal rhythms, sludgy low end, triumphant strings, and an epic thrashy solo. The band finds an aggressive hook or two in the ensuing melee, for a track that shows a lot of promise.
