video premiere: black fin’s dope animated video for ‘paranoia’

December 23, 2014

Today we’re premiering Zimbabwean hip-hop producer and MC Black Fin’s dope animated video for his track ‘Paranoia’ (from his new mixtape Hokoyo).
His camp tells us: “Directed by Tafadzwa M. Chiriga & Tanaka Chiriga, the video game inspired story follows an 8-bit Black Fin as he struggles to navigate a skewed cartoon-perception of reality. Featuring a colorful cast of reimagined icons, Paranoia is a trip you’re sure not to forget anytime soon.
The Paranoia video marks Black Fin’s release of FreeBlackFin.com. Embedded in a dynamic gallery website of digitally-collaged album art, fifteen downloadable songs, now available, anchor HOKOYO’s 360 degree listener experience. The release is coupled with a PledgeMusic fundraising campaign that aims to fund Black Fin’s first tour. Featuring campaign-only access to limited edition media spanning cassette to vinyl, hip hop fans are invited on a musical journey that spans the globe.”
