Watch the trailer for documentary ’25 Years to Life’. Directed by Mike L. Brown, the film tells the story of William Brawner; a HIV positive man who kept his status a secret for more than 25 years. Brawner contracted the disease as a child through a blood transfusion and as a young man engaged sexually with women without disclosing his HIV status. Now 35, Brawner wants to stop other HIV-positive people from following his journey, and has become an activist – setting up the Haven Youth Center for HIV-positive teens. (via The Root)
