new music: rainy milo covers the clash’s ‘bankrobber’
Rainy Milo has released many dope tracks and videos over the past few years. She just revealed her first official U.S. single, a cover of punk band The Clash’s ‘Bankrobber’, featuring singer Kossisko.
18-year-old Milo says: “I thought it was cool how authentically and rawly The Clash represented the British angst that was around at their time”. “‘Bankrobber’ was so far removed from the style of music I make that I instantly felt inspired to cover it. After looking into the band’s history, my interest became even more piqued when I learned that they had also come from a working class background and were inspired by island and reggae music, like me with my British and Caribbean background. Then upon meeting Kossisko, I knew he would be the perfect fit for a feature as well.”
