pop artist, serge gay jr.: inspiration of haiti

December 11, 2013

I’ve never seen Pop Art quite like this! Serge Gay Jr. creates art depicting the truths, beauty, and ills of popular culture and society. One has to honestly analyze his work in order to fully understand the messages he conveys.

Serge also creates art for many musicians like Snoop Dogg and Cee-Lo Green and through his artwork he praises the beauty of his Haitian culture.

Coming from a small island to the big New York, then later to Miami, that journey, having to adjust and trying to find ways to fit in. It made a good story for my art. English was not my first language; therefore art became my new way to communicate.”– Serge Gay Jr.
