video + free download: hell raiser tasha the amazon unleashes ‘tru life’

Tasha The Amazon lights up a few Molotov cocktails and a black balaclava in her new video for “Tru Life” and I can’t say I’m surprised. The self-confessed hell raiser is insuring that she does everything in her power to incite a riot of some sort. This is an all out rave. Complete with dutty whinin’ and “twerkin” (although, in Jamaica, dancehalls all over the island were bussin’ moves like that decades before Miley made it a mainstream gimmick). At least Tasha and her rebellious crew have managed to keep the public drinking and outlandish antics behind somebody’s four walls. Probably not for much longer…

The Canadian/Jamaican/German rapper paints a grim picture of what is to come as she spits:
“Fear The Future ‘Cause It Look Like Me…”
If these visuals are anything to go buy, the future’s a real handful. The futuristic sounding, electro hop beat is produced by Bass & Bakery, a production duo made up of Tasha and her beat making collaborator, Danthrax.
Tasha The Amazon is preparing to release her mixtape FiDiYootDem which out November 12th. Expert more anarchy. More aggressive, progressive lyrics and blatant mutiny against the societal norm. However, you’ll also find that Tasha loves to party her ass off. Good stuff.
