new sun brother “beneath my skin”

July 8, 2013

Free Download! “Beneath My Skin,” the new single from Sun Brother mixes lo-fi indie pop and reggae. This is a band to watch. #SoundCheck

The young power trio from Greenville, SC made a big impression with their first single “Howl at the Moon.” Sun Brother’s latest is the reggae influenced “Beneath My Skin.” A little less produced than “Howl,” but with a solid groove, the new track is reminiscent of The Exit. Sun Brother is the latest in a long line of indie rock bands with their hands in the reggae pocket. (This is more or less Don Letts’ fault. For better and for worse. Usually for better.)

The two tracks are from an upcoming EP titled “Enoree.” We have yet to hear the full thing, but if the two singles are any indication, Sun Brother is definitely a band to keep your eye on. Led by singer/guitarist Zebraylon Deonte Woodruff, this trio has a tight sound and an ear for big melodies. Expect big things.
