kalae nouveau – word theft

If you need to cool down, check out this acoustic session with Kalae Nouveau (and Ben Tyree on guitar).
‘Word Theft’ is about an “It’s complicated” kinda relationship.
Kalae tells us: “I wrote the song over a year ago to a guitar I stole from one of my band mates, Raydar Ellis. I barely play but I know some chords and came up with a melody and when I gave Ben Tyree the chords, he just took it to a new and inspired place-as he does. The song is about the essential foundation of any relationship-communication. How hard it can be, how it sometimes it can be more destructive to the relationship than supportive. I think this is something that a lot of people can relate to. Sometimes, you have said everything in your capacity and there’s nothing left but the issue and/or your partner still hasn’t been satiated. The frustration, pain and agony that drags on from not feeling understood.”
