tattoo of the week: it’s halloween month!

October 1, 2012

What better way to start off the month of Halloween, than with a tattoo of the “Voice of Horror” himself, Vincent Price?! Last time we checked in with Steph Modified, she was working as a tattoo artist and model in NYC. Now moving to Florida, she has started a new life but still giving the gift of ink to those seeking amazing artwork! This time I wanted to feature the art on the artist herself and show off her KILLER tats. To submit your tattoos for Tattoo Of The Week, send pictures + answers to the questionnaire below to

-How many tattoos do you have? 8 tattoos
-Which one is your favorite? My favorite has to be two of my tattoos. One on my left thigh which is a portrait of Vincent Price done by my amazing boyfriend Justen Borrero. Vincent Price was an amazing horror actor who was in so many films back then like 1953 “The House of Wax”, 1962 ” Tales of Terror” and so many others. He was an inspiration to me. my forearm tattoo is a reptile demon done by Toxyc who was once located in Paul Booths Last rites tattoo gallery. I am a big reptile enthusiast owning many reptiles. So I wanted something dark that can represent that side of me.
-How old you when got your first tattoo? I actually waited until I was of legal age to get tattooed. I was in no rush to get tattooed at a young age.
-Why should we feature your tattoo? My tattoos have a lot of meaning. People expect me to be covered in tattoos because I am an artist myself. I am very picky about what i choose to get done. It has to mean something to me.
– Do you have a particular tattoo artist you go to? If yes, where is he/she located? Website? I am a collector. So I do not just get work done by one artist. It is hard for me to pick a favorite since there are so many amazing artist out there. And hopefully one day would be able to get tattooed by so many other amazing artist.
-Do you regret any tattoos you have? I do not regret any tattoos. My tattoos all mean something to me but there is one tattoo I wish I did wait until I found the right artist to do it. It is still a great piece and may have the most meaning out of all my tattoos.
