tattoo of the week: a full complete sleeve

October 20, 2010
This week’s tattoo feature is Boston’s own, Kaishiro. As a graphic designer and music producer, Kaishiro got his first ink when he was 23. He now has eight tattoos and has a complete sleeve, which in itself is an accomplishment, he says, because most people leave their arms incomplete. Understood. Check out his work and don’t forget to send your tattoo images to us at to be featured as our tattoo of the week.

How many tattoos do you have?

Which one is your favorite?

The Big O on my left shoulder

When and where did you get it?

Fat Ram’s Pumpkin Tattoo in JP, by Ram himself

What does it mean to you?

My namesake, I have gone by Big O for half my life, plus I like huge Japanese Robots

How old were you when you got your first tattoo?

23, I think. That was way back

Why should we feature your tattoo?

Because my sleve is complete and many times you see incomplete pieces or assorted pieces. good to have a change. Plus I’m not half bad looking.

Do you have a particular tattoo artist you go to?
Majority of my stuff has been collected over time by different guys. I would sugest Ram at Fat Ram’s Pumpkin Tattoo here in MA or Ben Pease over at Pino Brothers in Cambridge MA.

Have you ever received a tattoo under the influence of drugs or alcohol?

Welll yeah. but I wasn’t drunk… I was by the time it was over.

Do you regret any tattoos you have?

Yeah I gt a really bad one and it was a bad concept to begin with on my shoulder blade, the other one I didn’t like I have since had a cover up so I like it now

Are you a tattoo addict?

Guess you can say that.
