In this week’s religious fuck up news, Nebraska is becoming an ever more dangerous place for women to live in, with misogynistic new laws that restrict abortion based on perceived “fetal pain” [e.i. christians’ perceived notion of fetal pain]. Also, they are now forcing women to undergo a psych check before receiving an abortion.

So just think of the idea of a woman wanting/needing an abortion, but before she does she has to convince some fuckin’ guy that she ain’t crazy.
Well I guess she would be if she’s still living in NE.
In other religious fuck up news, Joseph RATzinger *aka* Pope Benedict XVI *aka* former Hitler Youth, plans on touring the U.K. in September. Amazingly, the British govt. is welcoming this catholic piece-o-shit with open arms, as if RATzinger were some sort of dignitary – WTF!
But the ever awesome Atheist activist/scholar, Richard Dawkins [along with Chris Hitchens] wants to have the Pope arrested on CONSPIRACY charges, should he set foot on British soil. Good! Now, Dawkins is such a diplomat & he’s hella educated, so I can understand him wanting to persue this via the legal way.

Me, I’m waaay more sectarian. It would be great if the Pope’s convoy were hit with an IED (Improvised Extermination Device), but then everyone would blame Muslims and we’d never hear the end of it.

Arizona Republiklan Gov. Jan Brewer just signed an unbelievably racist new “immigration” law (SB 1070) into effect that will allow cops to stop ANYONE they think might be in the country illegally, wow!
One section of the new state law reads as follows: “WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE,WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON.”
So effective now, all cops in AZ are also duel immigration officers.
Not that racist pigs ever needed a reason to make unwarranted stops on people of colour before. But now they have official permission from the state to do so, nice! Not to mention making racist-profiling a state mandate.

Here’s some plain simple undisputed facts for all yall who didn’t attend law school: cops need PROBABLE CAUSE in order to stop someone. Having brown skin or looking “Mexican” does not constitute probable cause, drrr!
This new law is a brazen violation of Civil Rights (yes, undocumented citizens are afforded Civil Rights too), obviously. It will also open the state ass-wide to countless lawsuits which will ultimately [i hope] break AZ.
Plus, boycotts/sanctions of AZ are being pushed all over the country, good! Admittedly, it does kinda suck that such sanctions have to be taken against the state. But unlike Iraq, they (AZ) really deserve it! AZ is such a miserable, sweltering, suffocating, dog-shit place to live.
Don’t forget, this is also the same state that once refused to recognize MLKs’ birthday. Personally, I hope the whole goddamn state burns to the ground over this… fuck ’em!
