“unite the right” racist losers outnumbered by counter protesters in d.c.

On the anniversary of the murder of Heather D. Heyer, who was struck by car driven by a self-identified Neo-Nazi, that plowed into her and fellow demonstrators while protesting a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., #UniteTheRight are back at their racist antics once again with #UniteTheRight2 but the numbers don’t seem to match the energy these racist trolls have online. The rally was supposed to be held in Charlottesville but the city would not let him after the violence that erupted last year that resulted in Heyer’s untimely demise.

Lafayette Square in Washington was the chosen replacement venue and Jason Kesslar, one of the organizers predicted 100-400 white supremacist supporters showing up but the real number was… embarrassing. According to The Cut, the crowd participating in the rally was around 50 people, dwarfed by the 100s of police personnel, reporters as well as a crowd of counter protestors that outnumbered rally-goers 4-1 at any given moment. Rally-goers and protestors were intentionally kept apart because “when they are in the same area at the same time, it leads to violent confrontations. Our goal is to prevent that from happening,” Metropolitan Police Department Chief Peter Newsham told the Washington Post.

The Post is reporting that the Unite the Right 2 rally is a huge crowd of… 30 people.

There are thousands of counterprotesters.

The counter-protestors filled the air with chants like “Go home, Nazis!”, “No Trump! No KKK! No fascist USA!” and “Black lives matter!” Their voices drowned out any message that Kesslar and his band of racists were hoping to deliver. “D.C. Mayor Muriel E. Bowser (D) said last week the city would ensure that the rallygoers could exercise their right to free speech — even if what they were saying was distasteful,” which is just considering free speech is right held by all but a lot of the attendees of the rally had their faces obscured which… say it with your chest right? What we still have to remember is that America is a country that will enlist hundreds of cops to protect a bigot’s right to be a bigot, but N.F.L players face attacks from the president for exercising their own First Amendment Rights.
