While competing at CCCAN in Aruba this past July 4th, Haitian swimmer Naomy Grand’Pierre won the gold medal in the 50-meter breaststroke and the international competition. The 21-year-old Haitian-American and University of Chicago student became the first Haitian swimmer to bring gold home from the competition. In 2016 she was also Haiti’s first women’s swimming representative at the Rio Olympic games! Can’t wait to see what other ‘first’ records Naomy sets and congratulations on the victory.
