this art show will celebrate black queer women, trans & non-binary artists

The BBZ BLK BK: Alternative Graduation Show by BBZ and sorryyoufeeluncomfortable is an end of the academic year showcase featuring 10 black and queer artists who have recently graduated from a UK-based institution and deserve to be celebrated for their work. The aim of the show, which will be exhibited at Peckham’s Copeland Gallery this July, is to curate a showing of queer and nonbinary artists of the diaspora and give voice to a community of creatives that is under-acknowledged and marginalized for their contributions to the creative world, in general, and black culture more specifically.

The submissions deadline for BBZ BLK BK: Alternative Graduate has been extended until June 18th and is open to all recent grads across the UK. 10 artists will be chosen to have their work displayed at Copeland Gallery, Peckham from July 18 – 22.
