natural hair, body diversity, and black womanhood meet pop-art in this artist’s work

Black girl comic art is 1) my life, and 2) a completely under-explored subgenera of pop art with wiiild possibilities of expressing black womanhood that most of y’all digital artists are missing out on, but that’s okay because we’ve got London-based illustrator Nyanza D. Recognizable for her distinct 3D pop art style that only amplifies the playful kitsch of the style from which she draws her base inspiration. You may remember her body positivity series from last year, which celebrated and embraced body type diversity. She’s awesome.
