We all knew that Nina Simone has long belonged in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, along with the Godmother of Rock music Sister Rosetta Tharpe, so we’re pleased to announce that both artists will join Bon Jovi, The Moody Blues, Dire Straits, and The Cars as the 2018 inductees. These iconic women beat out the likes of Radiohead and Rage Against the Machine, who enjoyed their first nominations this year.

During the induction ceremony, Sister Rosetta Tharpe will also be honored with the Award for Early Influence of 2018.
