Founded by Pamela Ohene-Nyako, Afrolitt is a platform and community that hosts events, dialogues, and reading groups dedicated to using sub-Saharan Africa and its Black diaspora literature as a source of knowledge and education.”Its mission is to use Black literature as a tool for critical knowledge, sharing and societal or personal change” With events in Lausanne, Geneva, and Accra, Afrolitt is “sustaining a pan-African dialogue between Anglophones and/or Francophones” from the diasporic and indigenous perspective.
