video premiere: time changes everything in the meditative new video by alt-r&b trio suffer the children, “someone to lose”

November 6, 2017

Formed by multi-Grammy Award-winning producer Chin Injeti, alternative R&B/electronica trio Suffer The Children is making waves in the music world, and doing it all on their own terms. Having worked artists such as Drake, Eminem, Aloe Blacc, Raury, Joey Badass, The Clipse, Kanye West, Dr. Dre, and Jay-Z, Injeti joined forces with equally talented musicians Rian Peters and Shallom Johnson to hone a unique sound that is as enticing as it is surreal.

Their latest video, “Someone To Lose”, exemplifies this ethereal sound while providing a meditation on fleeting time and all that is lost to it.

“’Someone To Lose’ explores impermanence. It is a meditation on the entropy that accompanies us at every turn – our relationships, careers, and reputations; our bodies & minds, and the things we create with them,” the band explains. “We spend our whole lives following this urge to build and build and at the end there’s only the one small door. And nothing else can come with us.”
