Darren Bergsteedt is an artist and illustrator born and raised in South Africa. While studying in Johannesburg, Bergsteedt had the idea to re-imagine the Greek Gods as African, and chose 12 Olympians to create the series around. Putting Medusa in a head-wrap and Artemis with traditional markings over her body, the result is a vibrant eye-catching work of art that brings a little more color to mythos.
