With AP Atlanta right around the corner, our fashion gears are revving up yet again– and the mood for this next fest? Duos.

Looking back on past festival’s for inspiration, the AFROPUNK runway is never one to disappoint, but thanks to photographers like student Charlie Williams, the most fabulous fashion couples and posses are preserved and the slayage lives on forever.

Fashion duos have long been the wave, but AP Brooklyn 2017  has built a new canvas for the trend: simply put, stepping out with your partner in crime has a new aesthetic, and Williams has captured the best of the best.

Adjacent to the hype-man culture of the black community, and the overall essence of #blackboy/blackgirlmagic, popping out as a community is the best way to stunt, and these couples did not come to play.

Pushing all the boundaries- from body coverage, to gender norms, and everything in between- this budding culture of “partner in slay” stands as not only a support system for creativity and confidence, but solidifies a raising bar in the world of festival fashion as a whole.

Don’t miss your chance to make your mark alongside your right hand at this month’s AP Atlanta, and check out some of our favorite duos and street styles of AP BK 2017- captured by Charlie Williams– below!
