afrofuturism goes minimalist in this funky editorial series

‘Preta Patrícia’ is a dope modernist interpretation of afrofuturistm that utilizes minimalist designs with fantastic realistic sculptures by artist Isaac de Moraes Neto. For me, these sculptures act as an interesting visual juxtaposition of their commonplace stillness or sterility against the funky futuristism expressed through the model who wears looks styled by Gabriel Hilair, with the help of assistant Gabriela Monteiro and MUA Vedroso. The series was shot by photographer Wallace Domingues for UNA Magazine, check it out below.
