afrofuturism artist jessi jumanji creates otherworldly digital collages

Jessi Jumanji, aka Jessica Lofton, is a visual artist, graphic designer, and photographer who specializes in eye-catching portraits and paintings, but my favorite piece in her portfolio are the Afrofuturism collages. Combining pop culture iconography and the cosmos with throwback black and white images of tribal Africans, drawing existential links between black heritage, the history of the world, and the metaphysical.
