video premiere: electro-r&b songstress aria lanelle let’s us know who’s boss in empowering new video for her single ‘league’

August 10, 2016

Today we’re premiering the latest video from Boston-native Aria Lanelle. This body-positive role model continuously let’s her light shine, and in her new video for single ‘League’, she leaves no questions about who’s in charge.

The song itself, in her own words: ‘Is a song of self-empowerment. You don’t have to let people walk all over you and treat you like trash. On this song, I’m saying that it’s okay to flex a little bit and let people know that you have respect for yourself.’

And flex she does- as her powerful anthem requires an equally- if not more- powerful video, Lanelle unapologetically dominates the screen, strutting her confidence and letting the message of the track not only burst through- but speak for itself. Incorporating visually representations of her electronic production, audiences are given an organic, authentic, and endlessly entertaining glimpse of a woman who knows what she wants- urging and inspiring everyone to get on her level. Definitely one to watch, Lanelle offers a new layer to the genre and a necessary representation for women everywhere. Check out the fierce video for ‘League’ below.
