feature: 24-year-old wendie zahibo crowdfunds to self-publish her black heroine illustrated book ‘queens of modern times’

‘Queens Of Modern Times’ (‘Reines Des Temps Modernes’) is a really interesting project by 24-year-old Wendie Zahibo that brings to life 10 modern heroines of Afro-descent through photography, writing, design, and fashion. The goal? To provide symbolic mirrors for black women to see themselves reflected in, in heroic and creative ways. The book, which is being self-published by Zahibo, is currently crowdfunding with aims to print 250 copies. You can learn more about the project and contribute to the Kickstarter campaign right here.
